About IFS

Delivering Value and Precision:

The IFS Story

Founded in 2015, Industrial Fabrication Services (IFS) was built on decades of plant and construction experience. What began as a focused fabrication operation in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, has grown significantly — both in physical capacity and in the scope of services we provide to clients across the South-Central and Midwest United States.

Today, the IFS campus spans 12 acres of fully fenced, 24-hour-monitored property in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Our facility includes 42,000 square feet of shop space across six dedicated fabrication shops, a 100-ton overhead crane, multiple plasma cutting beds capable of cutting up to 1” thick plate, and plate rolling capacity up to 1” thick. A large on-site laydown and storage area supports projects of virtually any scale.

IFS is ISNetworld® certified and holds ASME U-Stamp, S-Stamp, and R-Stamp designations — a reflection of our unwavering commitment to code compliance, quality, and safety across every project we execute.

Our Team

James Dye

IFS President

James Dye founded IFS in 2015 following a 30-year career in Oklahoma refineries. James started in operations where he spent many years at a Tulsa refinery. He eventually ran the capital projects group, executing projects in excess of 100 million dollars. His vision has always been starting his own business in Tulsa serving the oil and gas industry.

Travis Dodd

General Manager

Travis joined IFS in 2020 to launch a new to the industry field services business unit. He brings 22 years of experience in contract construction to IFS. Throughout his career, Travis has specialized in boiler and pressure vessel repair and specialty welding operations. He is currently a Senior Certified Welding Inspector and holds all the master mechanical contractor licenses for the company. In 2025, Travis was brought into the office full time to run both the fabrication and field services on a day to day basis.

Ryan Weber

Design Engineer

Ryan Weber has 12 years of professional experience in industrial drafting and design. He received ASME Section VIII Division 1 training in 2017 and has 6 years of hands-on experience performing pressure vessel design calculations using Codeware COMPRESS. His experience includes the design and analysis of ASME pressure vessels, separators, heater treaters, gas production equipment, and glycol dehydration units. Ryan is proficient in a variety of design software and has supported projects across multiple sectors of the oil and gas industry.

Bryce Olmstead

Project Engineer

With nearly 10 years at IFS as a mechanical engineer, Bryce Olmstead has played a pivotal role in the company's growth. An OSU graduate in mechanical engineering, Bryce brings strength across the full project lifecycle — from procurement and cost estimating to project planning and quality control. That versatility is integral to how IFS prepares and executes complex fabrication scopes, ensuring every project is well-defined, competitively priced, and resourced for on-time delivery.

Brian Shelton

Shop Superintendent

Brian Shelton oversees daily operations across IFS’s six-shop fabrication facility. With 20 years of experience in heavy fabrication — the majority of which has been spent in supervisory roles — Brian brings a deep understanding of workflow management, quality control, and personnel development to the shop floor. His hands-on leadership is a cornerstone of IFS’s ability to meet tight schedules without sacrificing quality or safety standards.

Marc McDaniel

Field Services Project Manager

Marc McDaniel joined the IFS team in 2021 and has been involved at some capacity in every Field Services project since. His expertise lies in managing project quality and overall budget and cost performance in the field. Marc’s attention to detail and commitment to client-side accountability make him a critical resource for clients undertaking capital projects, outages, and specialty mechanical work at their facilities.
