The IFS Field Services division was established in 2020 to extend our fabrication expertise beyond the shop and directly to client facilities. Since launch, our field crews have been involved in capital projects, planned outages, and emergency maintenance events across the oil and gas, chemical, power generation, and renewable energy industries.
Every field engagement is supported by the same quality standards, certified personnel, and code-compliance protocols that define our fabrication operations. Capital Projects
IFS provides turnkey field services support for capital construction projects, including new unit installations, plant expansions, and equipment replacements. Our field project managers coordinate all aspects of field execution — scope, schedule, procurement, quality, and cost control — to deliver projects that meet or exceed owner expectations.
Specialty Welding
Our field welding crews are qualified across a full range of processes and materials, including stainless steel, duplex alloys, chrome-moly, and other specialty metals. IFS field welders hold the same qualifications and code certifications as our shop team, ensuring consistent quality whether the work is performed in our facility or at your site.
Outages & Maintenance Events
IFS regularly supports planned plant outages and turnarounds for clients across the region. Our crews are experienced working within the compressed schedules and demanding quality expectations that characterize these events, and our coordination with plant maintenance and operations teams minimizes disruption to your facility.
Boiler Repair & Alteration
IFS is licensed and ASME R-Stamp certified for boiler repair and alteration work across multiple states. Our field team has extensive experience with boiler inspection, code repair, and alteration projects in compliance with applicable jurisdictional requirements.
Pressure Vessel Repair & Alteration
IFS holds ASME R-Stamp certification for pressure vessel repair and alteration, supporting clients who need code-compliant repair work performed at their facilities. Our team works closely with authorized inspection agencies to ensure all work is documented and certified to the required standard.
Power & Process Piping Installation
From large-bore power piping to process lines in hazardous service, IFS field crews are experienced in the installation, tie-in, and testing of both power piping (ASME B31.1) and process piping (ASME B31.3) systems. We coordinate material delivery, fit-up, welding, NDE, and hydrostatic testing through a single point of contact.
